Summary:
The Domes Lead is responsible for leading the aluminum domes operations.
Domes Lead Duties and
Responsibilities:
Lead the aluminum dome operations.
Responsible for training machine operators and assistants.
Responsible for Quality Control procedures and documentation of parts.
Responsible for Safety Compliance procedures.
Train employees on the MOPs, the Epicor system and using MES equipment.
Operation of CNC machinery.
Completes performance evaluations on team members.
May perform other duties as assigned.
Domes Lead Skills and Specifications:
Coaching and performance evaluation skills.
Skills with conflict resolution and disciplinary procedures.
Computer skills required for the production of reports.
Working knowledge in computers with Microsoft Office experience including Excel and Word preferred.
Previous supervisory experience preferred.
Strong documentation skills and filing of paperwork.
Troubleshooting manufacturing issues.
Ability to read and understand blueprints.
Knowledge of CNC machining.
Knowledge in measuring, reading micrometers, calipers and dimensional metallurgy preferred.
Has a continuous improvement mindset and helps set a culture of always improving.
Has a strong belief and high expectation for 6S; encourages and demands a high level of 6S in his departments.
Domes Lead Education and
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
Minimum 3 5 years experience with knowledge of machine technology (cutting tools, speeds, and feeds).
Previous lead or supervisory experience preferred.
Domes Lead Physical Requirements:
While performing the duties of Domes Lead, the employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; talk or hear; taste or smell.
The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
Domes Lead Work Environment:
While performing the duties of Domes Lead, the employee is exposed to weather conditions prevalent at the time.
The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
